The affiliate program is a great way to make extra money by selling the programs we offer to your friends and colleagues from IIN, the health coaching community, or any other wellness professional community.

Once you have the affiliate link and the html buttons you can post those on your website, email, or Facebook to get credit for the sales.  Once you sign up and get set up you can track all of your activity and see your sales records simply by logging in.

InfusionSoft is the leading affiliate tracking software and powers our affiliate program. It uses combination of cookies and IP address to track referrals for the best possible reliability. When the visitor follows your affiliate link to our site, our affiliate system registers this referral and places a unique cookie on the visitor’s computer. When the visitor pays for their products, InfusionSoft affiliate system checks for your unique cookie (if not found, checks for your unique IP address of referral) and credits your account with commission. This process is absolutely automatic. All referrals are properly tracked but credits only the link that is clicked and a sale transpires. The unique link tracking software creates the ability for us to read the data needed to resolve questions such as the originating link ownership.

Once you’ve signed up, you will receive access to more information, your affiliate link and html buttons to post that link via website, email, or Facebook.

You can track activity and sales by logging in again.

To learn more about what other affiliates are doing and get support for your own efforts, email [email protected] and ask to be added to the “Rock Star Affiliates” group on Facebook.  You will need to provide the email you use for your Facebook login in the body of the message, so they can invite you to the group.

IIN has a strict policy of no affiliate links. (although sometimes you will find some courses slide through the cracks)

They will pull your post, and on the 2nd or 3rd time, they will suspend you from the group.

Even if someone asks a question about a HCG product, answer them with a note saying “I would be glad to help you with your question. Here is my email address (insert your email address here, make sure you do this, so anyone else who has a question can contact you directly) and follow with you will be sending them a private message. If they are not your friend, let them know to check their “other” box

Check out the policies for Facebook groups that are for health coaches. Check in the “About” section of the group to see what their policy is for using affiliate links. Some groups allow you to use your link on certain days, or only twice a week. Mark your calendar and put it on a reoccurring reminder to post if it is on a certain day.

Be consistent! It takes someone on average of 7 times of seeing something before they commit to looking at something.

Offer a freebie with your post to entice people to sign up with you. Just like an optin, when people feel that they are getting something, they are more apt to sign up.

Ideas for a freebie:

simple e-book, THCG recipe book, a relevant PowerPoint, free online course, 3 Day Detox, the ability to work with you to learn the new products, etc.

*Don’t underestimate the power of transparent and open engagement of social media venues. Take yourself on a learning curve, spend at least 30 minutes a day on this until you find your “comfort” zone. It is not for everybody but it IS a very powerful marketing tool.

A note about FTC rules regarding affiliate marketing:

ALWAYS make sure that somewhere within your “sales” verbiage you include the information that you earn commission from sales generated via links on your website, email, blog etc.
Marketing suggestions:

Whenever you market, you should formulate a clear directive to ensure that your target market understand that you will only receive credit for the sale if they click on the link you provide.
*Ask them to copy and paste your link into their notepad so that if they want to revisit it at a later
time, they can easily locate your link.
*Ask them for their email address so you can follow up
*Private message them and follow up

Affiliates should NOT be using their own link to make purchases. Within the world of affiliate marketing, this type of purchase really does not make for a good relationship between the affiliate and the company that extends a commission for every sale.

Unfortunately not. It is the responsibility of the affiliate to give any leads your affiliate link. It is important to make clear that you get a commission on the sale, so they understand why to use the link. We can check to see if someone used it, but can not go back and credit your account if they did not go through your link.
