What do the different group levels mean and how do they work?

Every program has four “waiting rooms” for potential clients. Each “waiting room” will open the doors to the program on a date you set – meaning you can launch the same program for up to four groups simultaneously.

The waiting rooms are named “Program Group 1”, “Program Group 2”, etc.

This enables a traditional online program launch model, where you sell to everyone for a bit and then they all start at the same time.

If you are only doing one group for a launch, then I would pick Group 1 for that program as your waiting room. The date you set in the sequential upgrade is the day your people are moved from the waiting room into the actual program.
